MELD Health is proud to announce the addition of Dr. Liz Hatfield to the key role of Clinical Advisor. Dr. Hatfield brings exceptional expertise in TMD and Orofacial Pain diagnosis and management, including temporomandibular joint disorders, headaches, and neuropathic pain conditions. Her clinical focus and academic leadership in this field reflect a deep commitment to advancing the understanding and treatment of complex pain disorders that affect millions of patients worldwide.
Dr. Hatfield currently serves as a faculty member in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery/Hospital Dentistry. She directs the TMD & Orofacial Pain Clinic at the University of Michigan, where she also leads as Program Director for the TMD & Orofacial Pain Residency. In these roles, she has guided both clinical innovation and education, mentoring the next generation of clinicians to adopt evidence-based, patient-centered approaches to pain care. Her research and teaching have continually emphasized innovative, multidisciplinary strategies to improve patient outcomes.
